Lettrette

What it does

Lettrette opens email that nothing else on your Mac will: winmail.dat attachments (TNEF) and .msg message files, on your Mac, iPhone and iPad. One purchase covers all three.

• The whole message, as it was sent. From, to, cc, date and subject; the HTML, rich text or plain body with its inline pictures; messages attached to messages; and the raw headers when you need them.
• Invitations and contact cards. Meeting invitations open with Add to Calendar, contact cards with Add to Contacts.
• Get the attachments out. Preview them with Quick Look. On the Mac, drag them out, use Open With, or Save All at once; on iPhone and iPad, share one or all of them.
• Previews in Finder, Files and Mail. Quick Look previews and thumbnails for these files: on the Mac, press Space in Finder or Mail to see inside a message without opening it; on iPhone and iPad, the previews show in Files and Mail.
• Share › Lettrette. On the Mac, a Share extension opens a file straight from Mail or another app; on iPhone and iPad, Lettrette is in the share sheet.
• Export. Save a message as .eml or as a PDF (A4 or US Letter). On the Mac, batch export saves many messages or a whole folder at once, as EML, PDF or just their attachments.

Privacy in one paragraph

Lettrette never connects to the internet. Remote images in a message are never loaded, and nothing you open leaves your device. There is no account, no tracking and no analytics, and no data is collected. The full privacy policy says the same at more length.
