Zonette
Privacy policy
Last updated 1 October 2026.
The short version
Zonette collects nothing, sends nothing and has no network access.
What is stored, and where
In the app's own storage on your device (on the Mac, its sandbox container): your cities, the names you give them, and your settings. On the Mac, for the desktop widget, the app also puts each city's name, time zone and location in an App Group, a storage area that only Zonette and its widget can use. On iPhone and iPad there is no App Group: each widget keeps the cities you pick for it in its own widget settings. On Android, the app keeps each widget's cities with its own settings. Like other app data, all of this can be part of your device's own backup, such as Time Machine, iCloud Backup or Android's backup, if you use one. Deleting the app removes them.
Your calendar
Only if you switch on Show my next events, Zonette asks the system for access to your calendars. It then reads the title, time and colour of your next events, on your device, to show them with their time in your cities. It never changes an event, never stores them, and never sends them anywhere.
Where it goes
Nowhere. On the Mac, Zonette has no network entitlement, which means macOS itself will not let it open a network connection. On Android it has no internet permission, so Android will not either. On iPhone and iPad, where apps need no permission to use the network, Zonette contains no code that connects to one. The list of cities and the map are part of the app. There is no server, no analytics and no account.
