Common questions

I can't find my city

Zonette knows every city of 15,000 people or more. Try another spelling, or the country's name, which lists its biggest cities first. For a smaller place, add the nearest city in the same time zone and rename it.

How does the meeting planner decide who is at work?

By the working hours in Settings ▸ Cities on the Mac, or Settings ▸ Working hours on iPhone, iPad and Android: 9:00 to 18:00 unless you change them, the same in every city, on weekdays. Drag across the strips or click one to choose a time (on a phone, tap a strip or move the scrubber at the bottom); Copy puts that time in every city on the clipboard.

My events do not show

Switch on Show my next events in Settings ▸ Calendar and allow calendar access when you are asked. If you declined, allow Zonette on the Mac in System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Calendars, on iPhone and iPad in the Settings app under Privacy & Security ▸ Calendars, and on Android in the system settings under Apps ▸ Zonette ▸ Permissions. All-day events are left out, since they have no time to show in another city.

The times disappeared from the menu bar

When the menu bar is full, macOS moves some items behind its overflow arrow. Shorter city names help: give a city a nickname in Settings ▸ Cities, or switch off Show the city names in Settings ▸ Menu Bar.

Does it handle daylight saving time?

Yes. Every time comes from the system's own time zone rules, on the Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android alike, including the dates each country changes its clocks.
