In short

Your jobs stay on your device and in your own private iCloud. We have no accounts and no servers that hold your data, and we cannot see your jobs. Foreman 1.1 and later contain no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising. Last updated October 2026.

Data you provide

Foreman stores what you enter:

• Job details: title, client name, phone, email, address, notes, status
• Quotes, invoices, items, prices, tax, discounts and payments you record
• Photos you attach to jobs
• Time entries on jobs
• Business details (name, phone, email, logo), hourly rate and invoice preferences

This data is stored on your device and, if you are signed in to iCloud, synced privately to your own iCloud account through CloudKit. It is never sent to us or shared with anyone else.

iCloud

If you use iCloud, your data lives in your private iCloud container and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We cannot access it.

No analytics, no tracking

Foreman 1.1 and later contain no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising, and talk to no server of ours. Versions before 1.1 used Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (anonymised usage events and crash reports, provided by Google). That code has been removed from 1.1, and nothing collected earlier is used. If you still run a version before 1.1, updating stops it.

Camera, photos and location

Foreman asks for access only when you tap the matching button: the camera to take a job photo, the photo library (through the system picker) to attach a photo or choose your logo, and your location once to fill in the job site address. Photos stay on your device and in your private iCloud. Address suggestions as you type come from Apple Maps.

Purchases

The Foreman Pro purchase (and the monthly subscription sold in version 1.0) is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information.

Mac and Android

The Mac app keeps your jobs on your Mac and, like the iPhone and iPad app, in your own private iCloud. On Android there is no iCloud and no account: your jobs stay on the phone, and you can export a backup file and import it on another Android phone. Foreman does not use Google's cloud backup for your jobs. Client phone numbers and email addresses you type in stay on the device; when you tap one to call or write, Foreman hands it to your phone or email app, and nothing else is sent. The one-time Foreman Pro purchase is handled by Google Play. The Android app makes no network connections of its own, and has no analytics, advertising or tracking.

Keeping and deleting data

All your data lives on your device and, optionally, in your iCloud account. Deleting the app removes the data stored on the device. To remove the iCloud copy, delete Foreman's data in iPhone Settings > your name > iCloud > Manage Account Storage.

Children

Foreman is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
