Prompette
Privacy policy
Last updated 1 October 2026.
The short version
Prompette collects nothing and sends nothing to any server. There is no account and no analytics.
What Prompette uses
Your microphone, only in voice and follow modes on the Mac. Voice mode measures how loud you are, to scroll while you speak. Follow mode also turns speech into words to know where you are, using speech recognition that runs on your Mac; Prompette never uses a server for it. The sound is not recorded or kept. Prompette on iPhone, iPad and Android does not use the microphone at all.
Your local network, only for the remote, when you turn it on. The Mac and your iPhone, iPad or Android device talk directly over your own network, after you pair them with a four-digit code. Nothing goes over the internet.
What is stored, and where
Your scripts, their rehearsal times and your settings, inside the app's own storage on your Mac, iPhone, iPad or Android device. A script you get from the Mac on a phone or tablet is stored there too. If your device backs itself up, for example to iCloud or Google, the backup can include them, as it does other apps' data. Deleting the app removes them.
