Common questions

Which headphones work?

Those with head tracking: AirPods Pro (all generations), AirPods (3rd generation or later), AirPods Max and Beats Fit Pro, connected to your Mac, iPhone or iPad. Other headphones do not report head motion.

Poisette says "Put in your AirPods" but they are in.

Make sure they are connected to this Mac (not to your iPhone) in the Bluetooth menu, then press Start again. If you turned Motion & Fitness access off, turn it back on in System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Motion & Fitness. On iPhone and iPad, make sure they are connected to that device, and look in Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Motion & Fitness.

It nudges me too often, or not enough.

Recalibrate while sitting the way you mean to sit, and do the optional slouch step. You can also choose Relaxed, Balanced or Strict, and a longer or shorter grace time, in Settings ▸ Posture on the Mac, or in Settings on iPhone and iPad.

Why did it stop counting?

Poisette rests while your headphones are out or lying still on the desk, while the Mac is locked, during calls, while an app is full screen, outside your active hours, or while paused. The panel says which. On iPhone and iPad it watches only during a session, and while you are in another app or the screen is locked, only while the session plays a sound.

Can I keep my history?

Yes: Settings ▸ History ▸ Export as CSV saves every watched hour as a spreadsheet file. On iPhone and iPad, use Export as CSV on the History page.
