Squiggo

Privacy policy

Last updated 6 October 2026.

The short version

Squiggo collects nothing and sends nothing. There are no ads, no accounts, no analytics, no tracking and no in-app purchases, and the app uses no network at all.

What Squiggo uses

Your pictures, on the device only. Drawings, paintings, buddies and the wall of finished pictures are kept in the app's own storage on your iPhone, iPad or Mac (its App Sandbox container on the Mac). They are never uploaded.

One photo at a time, only if you choose. To add a picture or turn a photo into a buddy, Squiggo shows the system photo picker, which hands over only the one picture you pick. Squiggo never asks for access to your photo library. Turning a photo into a buddy happens on the device.

Voice and sounds, made on the device. The buddy's spoken voice and the button sounds are generated on the device.

Sharing, only when a grown-up chooses. The system share sheet appears only when a grown-up shares a picture, and where it goes is decided there, not by Squiggo.

What is stored, and where

Your pictures, buddies and settings, inside the app's own storage on your iPhone, iPad or Mac. If your device backs itself up, for example to iCloud, the backup can include them, as it does other apps' data. Deleting the app removes them.

Children

Squiggo is made for children and asks for no personal information. There is nothing to collect, no account to create and nothing to buy inside the app.
