The short version

Hushette collects nothing, sends nothing and has no network access.

What Hushette notices

When a call is under way, so it can pause. On the Mac it reads a single on or off flag from macOS that says whether any app is using a microphone; on Android it reads the phone's audio mode; on iPhone and iPad the system tells it when a call interrupts. None of this needs microphone permission or hears anything.

Your microphone, only when you ask. If you press Tune to my room, your system asks for microphone access, and Hushette listens for five seconds to measure how loud each band of pitches is. The sound is analysed in memory and discarded at once; it is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere. Only the resulting shape of the noise is kept.

What is stored, and where

Inside the app's own storage on your device: your mixes, presets, schedule and settings, and after a tuning the eight levels of your Room noise. Deleting the app removes them. Like any app's settings, they are included in your own backups of the device.

Where it goes

Nowhere. Hushette has no network access. On the Mac it has no network entitlement and on Android it does not ask for the Internet permission, so the system itself will not let it open a connection; the iPhone and iPad app contains no code that uses the network. There is no server, no analytics and no account.
