Tilewake

The short version

Tilewake collects nothing about you. There are no ads, no accounts of its own, no analytics and no tracking, and the app sends nothing to the developer.

What Tilewake uses

Your progress, on the device only. Stars, best moves, the daily streak and your settings are kept in the app's own storage on your iPhone, iPad, Mac or Android device.

One photo at a time, only if you choose. To play with your own photo, Tilewake shows the system photo picker, which hands over only the picture you pick. Tilewake never asks for access to your photo library. The picture is copied into the app's storage and never uploaded.

Pictures and sounds, made on the device. The living scenes, the music and every sound are drawn and played on the device; nothing is streamed.

Game Center (Apple devices), only if you are signed in. Your total stars, daily results and achievements go to Apple's Game Center for its leaderboards. That is Apple's service, under Apple's privacy policy; Tilewake itself receives nothing from it.

Google Play Games (Android), only if you are signed in. On Android the same results go to Google Play Games, through the Play Games app on your phone. That is Google's service, under Google's privacy policy; Tilewake itself receives nothing from it.

The purchase, through the store. Unlocking the full game is a purchase handled by the App Store or Google Play. Tilewake never sees your payment details.

Sharing, only when you choose. The daily puzzle's Share button opens the system share sheet with a short text of your result (no picture, nothing that spoils the board); where it goes is decided there.

The widget (iPhone and iPad). The Daily Puzzle widget reads today's puzzle and your streak from a shared folder on the same device.

What is stored, and where

Your progress, settings and own photos, inside the app's storage on your device. If your device backs itself up, the backup can include them, as it does other apps' data. Deleting the app removes them.

Children

Tilewake asks for no personal information and has no account to create. Purchases go through the store's own checks.
